Jaci earned her Bachelor’s of Art degrees in psychology and communication from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. She obtained her Master’s of Science degree in counseling from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. Her internship and post graduate internship were completed at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County where she was then hired on as clinical staff. At the Children’s Advocacy Center, she counseled abused children and their families. She treated a variety of issues including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and grief. After leaving the Advocacy center, she opened up her private practice where she continues to help clients cope with these issues, in addition to trichotillomania (hair pulling), dermatillomania (skin picking),other body focused repetitive behaviors, divorce, parenting, obsessive compulsive disorder, and gender dysphoria. Jaci is LGBTQ+ affirming.
Jaci has specialized training in trauma focused cognitive behavior therapy and has completed the Trichotillomania Learning Center’s CBT-based treatment of body focused repetitive behavior training program. She has also completed the pediatric BTTI training with the International OCD Foundation. She utilizes a variety of treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure response prevention, Com-B, and play therapy, in both family and individual sessions.
Jaci is a member of the Texas Counseling Association, the Trichotillomania Learning Center for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors, World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and the International OCD Foundation. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor.
